Who We Are

SHIELD is a grassroots initiative led by parents, educators, and community advocates who believe every Jewish student deserves a classroom free from bias, distortion, and fear.

Born from lived experience and driven by urgency, SHIELD was founded by moms who witnessed firsthand how antisemitism and anti-Israel bias were creeping into their children’s classrooms.

We connect families on the front lines with advocacy organizations working behind the scenes to demand transparency, fairness, and educational integrity. SHIELD offers practical tools, a supportive community, and a clear pathway to take meaningful action.

Mission Statement

At SHIELD (Supporting Honest Instruction & Equitable Learning for our Diaspora), we support honest instruction and balanced learning about Jewish and Israeli history and culture. We empower families with the knowledge and resources to ensure accuracy and fairness in the classroom, use data-driven advocacy to guide meaningful action, and foster strong community partnerships that protect the integrity of our educational systems.

Vision Statement

We envision communities where every Jewish student can learn in an environment free from prejudice and misrepresentation—where educators, families, and advocacy organizations work together to ensure fairness and truth in education.

By bridging the gap between families on the front lines and advocacy groups driving systemic reform, SHIELD strives to cultivate a generation of students who grow up confident, informed, and inspired.
